Interests...

Music

I listen to a variety of styles but my favourite artists are Pink Floyd, Dire Straits and Redgum.

As I get older my taste is swinging more towards Australian Country music, mainly because you still get the stories and lyrics that are missing from much of the modern rap/hip-hop/rock-n-roll material that comes out these days. So I also like Lee Kernaghan, Beccy Cole, Adam Harvey and Keith Urban. Every week I listen on-line to John Nutting on Saturday Night Country.

I play guitar and sing, and one day I will finish recording my own original material and will be putting it up on this site for criticism/acclaim. I was in a band called Southern Reign, but we folded in October 2007.

I am a Professional Member of the SA Council for Country Music and a writer member of APRA.

Hallett Cove Little Athletics

I am President of my kids' Little Athletics Club (Hallett Cove Little Athletics Centre) and it keeps me fairly busy. It's good fun though because the Committee are really sociable and it's great to be able to do something as a family each Friday night.

Chrysler Vehicles

I drive a 1970 VF Valiant that I bought in 1987 and restored a few years later after an electrical fire. I am a member of the Chrysler Car Club of SA and I look after the Club Library. It's a great Club, very friendly and informal. Check out my Chrysler page for more on my love of all things Chrysler.

Education

I attended O'Sullivan's Beach Primary School from 1970 to 1977

I then went to Westminster School from 1978 to 1983

I went to Adelaide University in 1984 but failed out.

Did an Apprenticeship with Telecom Australia from 1985 to 1989.

Did my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science by correspondence with Murdoch University in Western Australia from 1992, graduating in 1998.
